From The Beehive to The Canvas- Art Exhibit

November’s art exhibit comes from the mind of Irene Gut. Encaustic art is made by using wax as the main medium, and From The Beehive to The Canvas: Explorations in Encaustic displays all the wonder and possibility that this medium has to offer.

“After discovering the art of encaustic—painting with molten beeswax and damar resin—there was no going back. The tactile, organic nature of beeswax allows me to create richly layered, textured surfaces that feel alive. Wax holds mysteries of its own, and I’ve learned to release expectation, letting the process reveal unexpected beauty. Inspired by the intricate patterns and colors of the natural world, my work seeks to capture its essence—evoking wonder, connection, and a deeper appreciation for the beauty that surrounds us.”- Irene on what inspired the work displayed at this exhibit.

The opening reception for this show will be on Friday, November 7th at 7:00. From The Beehive to The Canvas will be on display at Peace Gallery North from November 7th to 22nd. The Gallery is open Tuesday-Saturday, 11am-5pm, with free admission.
