Samantha Wigglesworth – ‘Interrupting a Portrait’

Interrupting a Portrait, a solo show by local artist Samantha Wigglesworth. This series of 9 large scale works are the product of two years of experimenting with elements to “interrupt” the traditional portrait painting.

Some of these ways include a 3D textural elements involving embroidering tattoos through the canvas, sewn on beads or 3D embellishments.
