Peace Gallery North is pleased to present Divine Instruction, a solo exhibition featuring the artwork of David Thiessen.

The exhibition explores Thiessen’s personal interpretation of well known biblical passages through a collection of detailed and thought-provoking paintings. Drawing together imagery from the natural world, human life, technology, and the many objects created by people, Thiessen presents his perspective on faith, creation, and the relationship between the world around us and the things we make.

Rather than simply illustrating biblical passages, Thiessen’s work offers a visual exploration of ideas that have shaped his understanding of the world. His paintings invite viewers to look closely, consider the connections between the images, and reflect on the questions raised by the work.

Divine Instruction presents an opportunity to experience an artist’s personal expression of faith through visual storytelling. Visitors are invited to engage with the exhibition from their own perspectives and to consider the ideas, imagery, and questions that emerge from Thiessen’s work.

The exhibition opens with a public reception on Saturday, September 5, from 4:00 to 6:30 p.m. The opening reception is generously supported by Northern Metalic Sales, who are providing food and refreshments for guests. Catering will be provided by Cultured Cafe, with music by Capriccio.
